Wozniacki bt Suarez-Navarro: 6-0, 6-3
Clay is clearly Caro Wozniacki’s worst surface, but with the recent hiring of former 3-time Roland Garros Champion Arantxa Sanchez-Vicario as her coach, the Great Dane is serious about improving on the dirt.
Suarez Navarro on the other hand is used to clay-courts, seeing as she comes from Spain. But it was the outstanding play of Wozniacki which literally left the Spaniard stunned.
The first set was over in a flash, with Wozniacki breaking Navarro’s serve 5 times. during the bagel 6-0 set. At least in the 2nd set, Suarez Navarro go 3 games on the board. But it was too little 6oo late, to stop Caroline Wozniacki who cruised to victory in just over an hour by 6-3.
